Guide To Music Festivals In Africa

If your like myself and have a huge passion for African music, you will greatly appreciate this brief guide to concerts in Africa for 2012. Of course, there is much more concerts than the ones you will see listed but this will give you a great intro into the concert world of Africa. Another Festival that is not listed is the Marrakech Popular Arts Festival that runs June 29- July 3.

Chris Burden – “Metropolis II” @ LACMA

Visual artist Chris Burden opened last week at LACMA with this incredible piece, that I'm extremely mad I'm not in LA to see. The sculpture is called Metropolis II. The sculpture is a model of a miniature city and took 4 years to complete. Chris took his time to revolve the city around an intricate transportation system. The system includes 18 roadways, one 6 lane freeway, train tracks, miniature cars, a network of buildings, and of approximately 100,000 cars circulating every hour. Prrrrretty crazy.
