During the weekend of the Oscars, British artist D*Face placed two oversized statues in various Los Angeles locations. Two different versions appeared at both Mels Drive-In as well as Runyon Canyon. The Mels Drive-In statue featured the exposed flesh of an Oscar statue with the engraving “Beauty Is Skin”
