Summer Summer...Summer Tiiiiime!

As well as being the first day of summer, yesterday was Make Music New York day. Every June 21st New york explodes in a one day festival of 1,000 free concerts in parks and streets citywide. Its pretty amazing to know that from 10am through 10pm New York city is jamming simultaneously in over 1,000 venues. This is what makes New York so great! New York's attention to the arts has generated and inspired many of our greatest musicians. There couldn't have been a better way to jump start the summer. Summer is a time for unity and between listening to some of the greatest music of the year and watching the World Cup, we watch our world unify in harmony despite what goes on around us.
