May 2 – West Palm Beach, FL – SunFestMr. Oizo and Pharrell Williams- Where's the Money George?
Mr. Oizo is a well known French music and film producer who tends use this orange puppet as self representation in videos. I'm guessing Pharrell is collaborating with Mr. Oizo and this is a sample of what's to come.

In "Hammer of Tor," director Ben Younger (Boiler Room, Prime) profiles rising professional heavyweight boxer Tor Hamer.
Tor Hamer's 34-1 amateur career includes a Gold Gloves super heavyweight title in 2008, Hamer has gone pro with a 7-0 record. His father attended Harvard, his mother graduated from Villanova and Hamer himself has graduated from Penn State. "My trainer tries to hide that I like to fight," Hamer says. "He teaches me how to box, but inevitably, I fight. I might start out the first few minutes of the first round moving, getting used to it. But I guarantee you by the third round, I'll be in this guy's chest, trying to break his neck."

Jay Electronica Speaks on Hiding his Southern Roots in his Younger Years
I can really relate to how Jay Electronica felt growing up in New Orleans and being into hip hop. I grew up in Florida and I don't know if we birthed booty music but, we definitely made it popular. For that reason, I always felt a need to prove to people that I was truly hip hop. So, the majority of the hip hop that inspired me, out side of Outkast and a few others was primarily from New York. I don't feel that way no more because I understand the cultural significance of things and why we did things differently. I love that I was raised in the south! The south is the chef in the kitchen and we feed y'all soul!!

Rhymefest Works With Just Blaze
Any true musician can relate to the trials and tribulations that Rhymefest was going through. In the music world people fail to realize that it takes a real effort to make a sound work. It all sounds good when egotistical musicians boast about their natural talent to rock the mic no matter the circumstances. What these musicians fail to realize is a that like everything the beauty is in our flaws. You have to get lost to find yourself.

Peas for Power!
"Looking at the most complicated membrane structure found in a plant, we deciphered a complex membrane protein structure which is the core of our new proposed model for developing 'green' energy," says structural biologist Prof. Nathan Nelson of Tel Aviv University's Department of Biochemistry. Isolating the minute crystals of the PSI super complex from the pea plant, Prof. Nelson suggests these crystals can be illuminated and used as small battery chargers or form the core of more efficient man-made solar cells.Read the full article here: http://www.aftau.org/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=11819

THE NATIONAL BORICUA HUMAN RIGHTS NETWORK- NY Ch: “The Experience of Puerto Rican Political Prisoner Carlos Alberto Torres: 30 Days for 30 Years"

Hola mi gente!
The National Boricua Human Rights Network-NY Chapter is looking for some volunteers for our art installation titled: “The Experience of Puerto Rican Political Prisoner Carlos Alberto Torres: 30 Days for 30 Years”. Carlos Alberto Torres was arrested in 1980, accused of seditious conspiracy and sentenced to 78 years in federal prison. April 4, 2010 will mark the 30th year of his incarceration. In response to the 30th year of incarceration of longest held Puerto Rican Political Prisoner - Carlos Alberto Torres - the National Boricua Human Rights Network has re-created the isolation by the US Government of Puerto Rico’s patriot. It is also to bring awareness and to send a message to release them.
Why do we need from our volunteers? Well we need people to volunteer to be a prisoner, a guard, making/bringing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the prisoner, and constructing the actual cell. Keep in mind that the 30 Day Art Installations starts March 4rd, 2010 and ends April 3rd, 2010. If you volunteer to be a prisoner or guard, you will be serving a shift from 8am to 8pm that day. For example if you are a prisoner for a day you will eat and sleep in a life like prison cell for 12 hours.
The 30 Day live art installation will be exhibited at a store front in either Manhattan or the Bronx (location to be determined). This project will be taking place simultaneously in four locations: Chicago, New York, Philadelphia and San Juan, Puerto Rico continuously for 30 days. People can stop by and view the cell and participants 12 hours a day and learn more about Carlos Alberto Torres and the other remaining Puerto Rican political prisoner, Oscar Lopez Rivera and Avelino Gonzalez Claudio.
